​​​​​​​The purpose and Kaupapa of the Global Games Festivals is to give all junior players the opportunity to participate against clubs from around the country and the world, on a foundation of sportsmanship, enjoyment and friendship; all the while creating lifelong memories with their mates on tour.

​​​​​​​Our mission is to connect and empower one million people through the transformative power of sport and community by 2035.

We have already brought together 60,000 players and over 200,000 management, supporters, and families, fostering a truly global community built on understanding, enjoyment, and sportsmanship—regardless of individual abilities or club/school affiliations.

With a world-class points system in place and a commitment to being waste-free, we are continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Our next major goal is to make entry free for all teams by 2028, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent young players from experiencing the magic of Global Games.

For over 16 years, we have delivered unforgettable sporting experiences in some of the world’s most iconic venues—welcoming teams from New Zealand and across the globe. Together, we are redefining what youth sports can be, making the impossible possible and inspiring the next generation of global citizens through the universal language of sport.

Whānau holds great importance in our philosophy. We recognise and appreciate the significant role that families play in supporting and encouraging their children's involvement with Global Games. We strive to create an inclusive atmosphere that not only involves the young person but also engages their families, creating a sense of unity and togetherness.

Furthermore, our events are not just sporting competitions but vibrant celebrations that attract a large number of supporters. We aim to create a festival-like atmosphere that offers excellent social opportunities for individuals of all ages, fostering connections and friendships that go beyond the field of play.
